We have scheduled a special instruction series designed to help children learn and experience the mystery of the sacrament of Holy Eucharist.
Fr. Don and Meghan Fancher will lead this series for Kindergartners and First Graders using age appropriate instruction and hands-on experience.
There will be two sessions, Thursdays, September 16 & September 23 from 4:15-5:00. On the 23rd we
will conclude with a Family Eucharist beginning at 5:30 PM in the chapel.

Thursday, September 30, 2010, - Deadline to sign up for ST. JAMES BRUNCH, SUPPER & RESTAURANT GROUPS
These groups meet once a month beginning in October or November. Participants take turns hosting the event at their individual homes.
WHICH GROUP FITS YOU?
Brunch Groups: Meet on Sunday mornings after church services. The ‘host’ usually does the entire meal.
Supper Groups: Participants sign up to either meet on Friday or Saturday nights. IF you have a
preference, indicate on the sign-up form below. The ‘host’ usually provides the drinks and prepares the main dish. Remaining members bring the side dishes.
Restaurant Groups: Meet on Sunday mornings after church services and select a different restaurant
to enjoy each month.
It has been brought to our attention that when the groups get too large it makes it difficult for members to accommodate them in their home. In an attempt to get more participation this year, we are going to try to keep the groups to around
eight in number. We will also review the pairings from last year in an attempt to put you together with new faces. Additionally, we will balance each group with couples and single participants. If you are a single participant, you may sign up with another single participant in order to be put in the same group.

This retreat offers encouragement, guidance,
insight and practical wisdom to all parents and
grandparents who desire to become more aware
of and responsive to their children’s spiritual
needs and gifts! Sessions include: Sharing
Prayer Space with Children, Help for Bringing
Children Up in the Faith, Experiencing God
through the Eyes of Children, and When our
Children Depart from our Vision. Facilitators

Thursday, November 04, 2010, - What is Cursillo???
Cursillo is a three-day weekend that introduces
people to simple methods for nurturing and
growing their relationships with Christ. It
provides an experience of being in a Christian
community centered in worship, prayer, study
of scripture. The next 2010 Cursillo weekend
at Camp Beckwith is scheduled for November
4-7. Cursillo applications are available in the
parish office or call Evelyn Garett 533.6816.
