About Us
Welcome to St. James Episcopal Church.
We're glad you're here!
At St. James you will find a unique and diverse group of young families, single people, retirees, and empty nesters. We’re black, we’re white, we’re brown and yellow; we’re rich and we’re poor, we’re old and we’re young, and we’re everything in between. We’re people filled with joy and people who are grieving, people who are in great health and people in recovery. We are a people of nearly all walks of life, yet we are the body of Christ and we’re here together; learning to live our faith and life together in community. Worship is the center of who we are and what we do, and it’s through our worship together that we are connected to God. Through the sacraments and our community, we are strengthened to do the things Christ has called us to do: reach out to the sick, the poor and the outcast, welcome the strangers among us, spread the good news to children, to those we meet, and especially to one another.
If you’re new or visiting, we look forward to getting to know you and being a part of your faith journey and our common lives together. As we move forward in time and break bread together, we hope to continue sharing fellowship with one another. We are a welcoming bunch and on behalf of the vestry and the staff, we give thanks for you.
If you are a new to St. James...
Welcome, and we sincerely hope we have already met. Joining a new church can be a bit intimidating. Where are the bathrooms? Is this coffee really decaf or is it just in this carafe? Where is everyone going now? How do I sign up for a class? Why did the church time change? So many new faces to learn! We have all been there.
We are here to help you navigate through all of the questions you don't even know you have. If you know you are in the right place and are ready to take the next step by giving us some information, just fill out the form below and it will be sent confidently and securely to our parish administrator. If we haven't yet met, we look forward to shaking hands soon and sharing that cup of decaf or regular.
