The Church Campus

Front of the church from the parking lot

St. James' campus sits atop a hill of long leaf pines, native azaleas, and lush landscape on eleven scenic acres along one of the primary approaches to Fairhope, the quaint town on the eastern shore of Mobile Bay in Baldwin County, Alabama, which was recently named by Southern Living magazine as the Best Small City in the South. The campus itself consists of four main buildings: the Church, the Bounds Chapel, Green Hall (which is our parish hall and administration building), and the Wilson Education Building.

Behind the Church is our Memorial Garden, which measures 50 feet east to west, and 25 feet north to south.  A low brick wall with a centered altar marks the east end of the Garden.  The Garden is appropriately landscaped to offer a quiet place for family and friends to gather in love and remembrance.

Our Stations of the Cross begin in the Chapel and meander around the campus, behind the Memorial Garden, through a path in the woods, coming to an end in the beautiful Rose Garden.

Our parking meadow is used for a variety of activities from outdoor worship services to picnics, from movie theaters to physical education classes.
