Drew Downey
Drew Downey is originally from Mobile where he attended Murphy High School. He moved to the Eastern Shore after graduating from Auburn University where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication. He currently works with National Bank of Commerce in Fairhope, and is the residing President of Ecumenical Ministries and the Baldwin Pops. Drew fell in love with St. James after playing trombone during the Easter Services in 2013. In November of that year he was confirmed in the Episcopal Church and has been an active member of St. James ever since. He enjoys sharing his time with the church through singing in the choir, serving as a Lay Reader, and staying active in Cursillo. Drew was a delegate for St. James during the 2017 Central Gulf Coast Diocese Convention, and looks forward to serving the church in the future.

George Huckabay
George Huckabay, his wife Ellen and their son, Will, live in Fairhope. George is a third generation St. James parishioner; he was baptized and confirmed at St. James. George is an Agronomist for Crop Production Services based out of Summerdale, Alabama.
George serves as an usher and is an active member of the Men of St James. He is also active in Cursillo, served on the rector search committee and as the Parish Episcopal Relief and Development Coordinator.

Jim is experienced in workforce, higher education, community and economic development spanning more than 35 years. Educational background includes undergraduate and graduate degrees from The University of Alabama. Worked at University of Alabama over 25 years and retired in 2000 as the Career Center director. Jim is an avid cyclist.

Anderson McKean
Anderson McKean was born in Birmingham, AL. She has been a lifelong member of the Episcopal church. While attending Mountain Brook High School, she was an active member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Anderson graduated with honors from University of Richmond with a degree in International Studies. Following graduation, Anderson moved to Mobile to work as Assistant Marketing Director for the Mobile Airport Authority. During that time, Anderson also received her MBA from Springhill College.
In 2001, Anderson married her husband, George McKean. They moved several times for George to complete his residency and fellowship, but ultimately settled in Fairhope to raise their three children; Trey (age 13), Madelyn (age 10) and Jack (age 10).
Anderson has served in a variety of leadership roles in the community. She served on the Children's Dance Theater Board from 2014-2015, was the American Cancer Society Black Out Ball Co-Chair in 2014 and a member of the Bayside Advisory Committee from 2011-2015. Currently, Anderson serves on Bayside's Strategic Planning Committee and is Chair of the Bayside Advisory Committee. Anderson is also the Children's / Young Adult Buyer for Page & Palette.
Anderson has been a member of St. James for 10 years and has thoroughly enjoyed being involved in various aspects of the church. Currently, Anderson teaches Sunday School and serves as a lay reader. Anderson's children are all active in You Group and EYC; she particularly enjoys sharing fellowship opportunities and community outreach activities with them.
Anderson is excited about the direction that St. James is headed under the leadership of Father De and his team . She would very much like to serve on the Vestry to give back to the church community that has become such an important part of her family's life.

Since Charlie and his wife Jane Tucker moved to Fairhope in 2013, he has been actively involved in the St. James and Fairhope communities. He has served as a children’s Sunday school teacher, been involved with men’s groups and participated in supper clubs. Charlie and Jane are members of the Friends of the Fairhope Public Library and the Eastern Shore Art Center and he is a member of the Point Clear Rotary Club. Charlie is a business and real estate attorney in Mobile. Charlie and Jane have five children and five grandchildren (with a sixth due in February).

Terry L. Moore III
Growing up and Education: Terry spent most of his young life in different parts of the world, including Mobile, Washington DC, and Japan. College education was at the Virginia Military Institute with a BS degree in Civil Engineering in 1967. He then joined the US Air Force and while in the USAF, Terry obtained his Professional Civil Engineering Registration [1972] and his Master of Science degree in Administration [1975].
Family: In 1968, Terry married Vera [Beth] Elizabeth Caldwell of Mobile. They have three children: a son Terry IV, and twin daughters Serena & Frances; and now have four grandchildren.

Professional responsibilities have included:

- International Paper Company [1974-2008]: Construction & Project Management, Product Management/Marketing, Sales, Human Resources, & Supply Chain Management
- Retired with Beth & relocated to Daphne, AL in 2008; and will celebrate our 50th year of marriage in 2018

Elaine T. Pannell
Elaine is beginning her fourth year as a member of this parish. She is a cradle Episcopalian and has belonged to at least ten different churches throughout the Southeast. She is a graduate of the University of Florida with a BEd in English, Speech & Journalism; Auburn University with a Masters in Special Education; Georgia State University in Atlanta, with a PhD in School Administration and a minor in Sociology.
Prior to retiring, she was a Special Education Director as well as taught courses at the University level in Special Education and Sociology in Georgia. Her most recent experience was a tutor for athletes at the University of Florida. She has five grown children, two of whom live in Fairhope, and seven grandchildren.
Elaine tries to follow the tenet of the Daughters of the King that says, “I cannot do everything, but I can do something.” As a result, at St. James, she is a member of the choir, on the Welcoming Committee, coordinator of the Wednesday Morning Bible Study, a member of the Daughters of the King and contact person for the St. James Library Committee. In previous parishes, she completed Education for Ministry (EFM), was lay rector of Cursillo, a Lay Eucharistic Minister and a Lay Reader. Each of these experiences has given her a different perspective on the mission of the church. Elaine feels that St. James is a dynamic, growing parish and it would be a challenge to help lead it for the next three years. Elaine states “It is an honor to be nominated for the vestry at St. James.”

Frances Patton
Frances Patton was born in Fairhope and feels blessed to be fortunate enough to have lived 50+ years as a resident of such a beautiful coastal town. As a baby, she was Christened at St. James in downtown Fairhope. Growing up in the St. James family, she has worked in the nursery, co-taught a Rite 13 class, attends Monday Night Bible Study and currently serves as a lay reader, server/chalice bearer at the 7:30 a.m. service. Frances is employed at Christmas ‘Round the Corner in downtown Fairhope as a Sales Associate and Gift Buyer. Frances states that she would be honored to continue her service at St. James as a member of the vestry.

Sallie is a reader at the 7:30 service. She is mother to Andy Smith, and his sister, Sarah Chapman, and is a grandmother of five. She has been an Episcopalian for 50 years and hopes to give back to a church that truly lifted her up in every way for an entire year as she was treated and recovered from breast cancer. Her focus has been Outreach and starting Family Promise at St. James reflects that as does her starting Read Aloud Baldwin in our community.
